SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

Corteza Amarilla Art Lodge & SPA firmly believes that it is possible to perform its daily activities and operations, in line with a sustainable management of the environment and different factors. Therefore it works and takes measures towards the best use of resources to ensure a gradual decrease of undesirable effects.

• Electric Power: The rooms and social areas were designed to make the best use of natural light. Many windows and skylights were put in place. There are also public open areas. Within our work areas there are signs and posters raising awareness in our staff on the important of using as little electric power as possible in our operations. All this, added to the investment in low energy bulbs, is great solution to the actual use of energy.

• Water use and management: Corteza Amarilla has its own authorized water well. This well is constantly monitored to guarantee proper operation, and to verify that the pipes and taps are in good condition.

• Emissions and waste: We are guaranteed a good waste management under our well-established recycling policy and making sure to be provided with biodegradable, returnable and recyclable products.

• Natural resources, flora and fauna: Corteza Amarilla is constantly trying to reduce environmental impacts in the surrounding flora and fauna. Its mission, contrary to the excessive use of existing resources, has been to reforest the whole property. It has more than 140 different species, and the front of the property has been declared as a park before the MOPT.
